Employer obligations, Payroll, PAYG withholding, super, and STP if you're hiring.
Common Questions When Starting Out
How much does it cost to set up a business?
Sole trader registration is free (just ABN). Company registration costs around $576 with ASIC. We charge a setup fee for bookkeeping, registrations, and systems, quoted upfront.
Do I need an accountant from the start?
The earlier you involve an accountant, the better. Getting the right structure and systems from day one avoids expensive corrections later.
What records do I need to keep?
The ATO requires records of all income and expenses for 5 years. We'll set you up with cloud-based bookkeeping so records are always organised.
